Granite:
Where granite is sourced is specific to the colour and pattern sought; Brazil, China and India, are some of the world's largest producers.
With an average density range of 2.75g/cc, granite is commonly known for its natural strength, yet it is its momentous patterns and colour combinations, caused by its quartz, and feldspar content, that truly sets itself apart, essentially from itself and from everything else.

Marble:
Marble is the material used in classical pieces such as the Taj Mahal and Venus de Milo. With its strong yet malleable tendencies paired with it's ability to interact well with light, Marble is essentially a metamorphsis of Limestone that is ideal for the finer details; whether it's a fireplace, vanity, flooring for low traffic areas, or furniture.
It should be noted that marble is quite soft and porous, so it works best on surfaces that aren't subjected to daily use, such as counter tops.
Limestone:
The great pyramids are made out of limestone. Noted for its strength and subtle beauty, limestone is still considered a major material used in architectural applications. Minimizing weight issues, limestone is best used in thin panels for flooring, facades, counter tops or other surfaces.
Because of its composition, of silica, clay, silt and sand, Limestone is available in several different patterns and colours, as some of the examples to the right demonstrate.

Travertine:
A type of limestone that is commonly known for its stricking textural character, Travertine is available in light buff through tan brown and shades of red.
Available in either vein-like linear, or flowery random patterns, in polished or honed finishes, this type of stone is ideal for a softer look.
Average density, 140 -165lb/ft3
Onyx:
Noted for its incredibly fine crystalline and translucent features, that can be backlit for added effect, Onyx is truly a stone that speaks luxury.
Strongly banded in almost any colour, this material can be easily carved into a piece of art or used for cladding, to showcase a fireplace, bar or vanity top.
